Jak ses dostal ke hraní a jaké úspěchy máš již za sebou?

The Keeper vlastním jménem Jan Hejra se narodil v Jihočeském městě Tábor,ale již několik let žije v Praze.Jako Dj začal vystupovat již v útlém věku na školních parties,ale o elektronickou hudbu jako takovou se začal zajímat v 16ti letech,kdy navštívil svůj první festival Cosmic Trip, který patří dodnes k jeho nejoblíbenějším po všech stránkách. V roce 2000 se rozhodl zakoupit si své vlastní gramofony a začaly každodenní hodiny neúnavného hraní a pilování techniky. Z velké části se na stylu jeho hraní podepsala kompilace The Last Djz On Earth vydaná v roce 2001, která ho zaujala svou propracovaností, precizností mixů a výběrem skladeb. Postupem času se začal zajímat i o další styly než o samotné techno, a to hlavně electro a breakbeat, které se snaží vkládat do svých setů.V poslední době se také intenzivně věnuje i tvorbě vlastní hudby. Styl, který dnes hraje, by se dal nazvat funky fresh banging techno, doplněné scratchingem a efekty DJM 600.

Mezi jeho oblíbené producenty patří Robert Hood, Chris McCormack, Jamie Bissmire, Heiko Laux, Dj Rok, Tosh Marcato, Terrence Fixmer, Antony Rother, Arthur Baker.. Za své oblíbené labely by mohl jmenovat například Tresor, M-Plant, Mterials, Gigolo, 50HZ, Potential..

Keeper prošel několika kluby v Praze a většinou klubů v Jižních Čechách, zahrál si také na dnes již legendárním Jihočeském festivalu Summer Expose, kde účinkoval Švédský Dj a producent Johan Bacto, dále na Summer Session, Evolution, Insomnia Stargate, Kinetic a další. Za dobu svého působení za gramofony měl možnost zahrát si po boku Dj’s jako Dj San,Nick Dunton,Technodeluxe, Ladida, Chris Sadler, Toky, Agent, Nika 77 a mnoho dalších.

Jan Heira aka The Keeper was born in the south bohemian city of Tábor, but for a couple of months he´s been living in Prague. He started deejaying in his early years at school parties, but he got involved with electronic music at the age of 16, after he visited his first music festival Cosmic Trip, which still remains as on of his favourite ones from all aspects. In the year 2000 he decided to buy his own turntables and began playing and working his technique out for long hours every day. A great influence on his style of mixing was the compilation The Last DJz on Earth, released in 2001, which caught his attention by its refined and precise mixes and choice of tracks. As the time went by, he got also interested in other styles than techno itself, mainly electro and breakbeat, which he tries to put into his sets. Recently, he is also working on creating his own music. His nowadays style could be described as funky fresh banging techno, supplemented with scratching and DJM 600 effects.
Among his favourite producers are Robert Hood, Chris McCormack, Jamie Bissmire, Heiko Laux, Dj Rok, Tosh Marcato, Terrence Fixmer, Antony Rother, Arthur Baker.. His favorite labels: Tresor, M-Plant, Mterials, Gigolo, 50HZ, Potential…
Keeper went through a couple of clubs in Prague and most of the clubs in the southern Bohemia. He performed at the legendary south bohemian open air festival Summer Expose alongside with the Swedish DJ and producer Johan Bacto, and also at Summer Session Evolution, Insomnia Stargate, Kinetic and other festivals. Through his time behind the decks he had the opportunity to perform alongside DJs as San,Nick Dunton, Ladida,Technodeluxe ,Chris Sadler, Toky, Agent, Nika 77 and many more…
